An Iranian hermit often called “the world’s dirtiest man” has died on the ripe age of 94, simply months after taking his first wash in many years, Iranian state media introduced.
“Amu Haji” – Uncle Haji – as he was referred to, died on Sunday in Dezhgah, a village within the nation’s southern province of Fars, state information company IRNA reported.
Based on the area’s district head, Haji had for many years averted contemporary meals and believed that “if he cleans himself, he’ll get sick,” the company reported.
Haji was identified for his staunch stance towards bathing: A couple of years in the past, when a gaggle of villagers took him to a close-by river in an try to wash him, he threw himself out of the automobile and ran away.
Locals within the space all handled him and his situation with respect, IRNA reported, understanding that his concern of getting sick was the rationale he averted water.
